DESCRIPTION:

The climate crisis has affected the least responsible the harshest. This is true of those residing in the Global South, those of historically disadvantaged and low-income communities, and most of all, it is true of the world’s youth. If COP26 has demonstrated anything it’s that those most vulnerable to climate change are still the most peripheral and underrepresented within the environmental movement.

The “Boom to Zoom: Intergenerational Dialogue on Climate Change” event is a forum designed to bring stakeholders, activists, and professionals spanning the “boom” to “zoom” generations together for a conversation on intergenerational environmental justice and catalyze collaborative and inclusive action. The forum will take place on December 11th at 9 am EDT, 2 pm GMT.

This forum is expected to stimulate discussion on the topics of climate justice, climate change peace and security, and intergenerational dialogue. Participants will be called in to reflect, exchange and brainstorm concrete personal and collective action steps. ALL proceeds from this forum will be converted to a microgrant in an effort to stimulate grassroots and youth-inclusive climate action. Participants of the forum will be awarded a certificate of completion and will be invited to apply for a microgrant.

**The co-organizers are committed to climate justice and providing a space for those who are on the front lines of the climate crisis. If prospective participants are unable to contribute this amount, they may contact the organizers to petition for reduced or free admission at b2zclimate@gmail.com.**
